This book was written in approximately two weeks and is the author’s first attempt at self-publishing. I hope that you will find the playfulness and ironies in its covers as enjoyable as they were to write. Penning poems that regale the propensity some have for domestic violence and child abuse were difficult to write and makes one question the viciousness of social ills. Homosexuality and cross-dressing banter with social acceptance and rejection. Dichotomies abound between morals and desires, the way life is, and how we dream it could be.

This book is what I consider prose, written in rhyming style, but definitely prose. The content gives the reader much to consider, and the message is strong and clear to both poets and non-poets alike. It is a truly a story about life, and the poems are cleanly and clearly executed with the transition from one to the other flowing and leading the reader to savor the thought of that which he has just read. It is very reminiscent of 'Leaves of Grass' by Walt Whitman illustrating the poet definitely met her objective in writing in old world style. Overall, it is a solid performance. I am impressed.
Read this book and I know the pain this writer talks about. Not fiction but true to life
I read these poems several weeks ago and have thought a good deal about a circle of life. Well written and thought provoking. Waiting for more.
"The Wicke's of Life" is a soul laid bare, and an intimate look at the heart of this writer. Her poems express the agony, despair, and the beauty of life. Underlying all, one can see the hope and the kindness of the writer, even in the worst situations. Feeling the pain in her poems, pain caused by cruelty and neglect, you get the sense that the author truly sees both sides of every situation, and forgives.
